Using the plug-in's main output
Using our Remix Plugins in FL Studio requires a little setting up as by default, the default behaviour is to mix all the outputs of the plug-in together, including the separated stems, so that changes made in the plugin don't seem to do anything.
Please note that the steps below apply to Remix, Remix:Drums and any other Remix plugin as they all use the same engine.
To fix this issue, please complete the following steps;
1) On the Remix UI window, click to open the plugin settings by clicking the settings icon in the top-left
2) Then click the 'Processing' view
3) Finally, make sure only the 'Mix' output is enabled as shown below, all the others can be disabled
Using the plug-ins individual Stem outputs
If you intend to process the different stems of the plug-ins individually please complete these steps. We are showing it with Remix:Drums:
4) Go into the FL Studio Mixer window and highlight the channel you want to apply the Remix plug-in to.
5) Now in the right Mixer channel click the Slot you want the plug-in to reside in. In the popup menu choose the top entry More Plug-In. Search for the plug-in you want to use and insert it as VST3.
6) In the Mixer click the little arrows on the next tracks. There should appear green connections to the track with the plug-in in. Use six tracks for Remix:Drums, five tracks for Remix and three tracks for Extract:Dialogue 2.
9) Remove the connection to the Master on the left of the window to avoid, that the Mix output of the plug-in is still audible. Go with the mouse to the green circle in the Master and click the green arrow appearing above it.
10) Do step 1) and 2) as described above.
11) In the Processing window click Auto map outputs. The outputs should become numbered in ascending order as shown. Disable the Mix output.
Now, when you play the drum loop, you will have the different instruments of the drums on separate tracks for individual processing and mangling.
